I am Evelyn, the author of this blog.

In this blog, I share my personal life. 

What inspired me to set up this blog?

I have read a book titled "Love Your Life". In the introduction, it mentioned that when most people reach the twilight of their lives, they would tell you it's not about having a bigger house or a better job, or about the car they drove or the clothes they wore. They would tell you it was all about investing in themselves and their relationships with other people. Ultimately, loving your life is about discovering the greatness that's inside of you and the influence you have on the world around you.

In the book, it also mentioned about having a memory box for all good memories.

And that inspired me to create this space where I can record my memories, my relationship with those I love and also to share my thoughts. 

Why do I name my blog as "TwentySixOctober"?

I started this blog on my wedding day, Twentysixoctober.

This is a special day for me as it's the day my hubby and I decided to be in a relationship. It was 26 Oct 2007.

After 6 years, on 26 October 2013, we pledged our vows as husband & wife.

To me, my wedding is like a Happily Ever after and I'll like to keep a record of these memories here where I'll be able to read it many yrs later with my hubby.

More importantly, I'll like to record all the thereafter Happily Ever After
as I write my own fairy tales

Here's a little story about me...

There lived a girl from a single parent family.. her mother decided that heaven is a better place than earth.

The girl lived with her father & younger brother and life was tough as they barely make ends meet.

Since young, she's trained to be independent. She worked part-time & provided tuitions in order to assist her family financially. 
She studied extremely hard, wishing to get a scholarship to sponsor her university studies. 
With the blessing from her angel above, her hard work paid off when she's awarded the Nanyang Scholarship.

Life became better & she met her soul mate in NTU.

Fast forward to 2013, she married her soul mate & gave birth to her little peanut named "Aedan" in Aug 2015.

In order to provide the love & care for her little one, she gave up her job in corporate banking to be a Stay-at-home-mom (SAHM).

She's back to studying but this time it is about learning how to be a mom!

This is baby Aedan. 

He was born in August 2015 and he's the best thing that has ever happened in my life. You will get to see many photos of him in this blog as I share stories about my life in Israel.
